The bylaw was adopted by the Board on June 24, 2022.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure approved the bylaw pursuant to the Transportation Act on June 8, 2022.

Following the May 11, 2022 public hearing, staff presented a report and bylaw as amended for the Board's consideration of 3rd reading - view the May 27, 2022 Board report. The Board gave the bylaw 3rd reading and staff referred the bylaw to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure for approval.

The Regional District held a virtual/phone public hearing on the proposed Cannabis Cultivation and Processing Bylaw on May 11, 2022 at 6:00 PM via Microsoft Teams. 

Staff presented a report and draft bylaw to the Board for consideration of 1st and 2nd readings and scheduling of a public hearing. View the April 22, 2022 Board report.

The Regional District received an application to update Medical Marihuana Production Facilities Bylaw No. 676 to add cannabis micro cultivation and processing as permitted uses and to allow cannabis production facilities on both Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) and non-ALR parcels.
