Project Open House Events

Stages 1 and 2 summary report and presentation to RDKS Board
WSP and Development Services staff presented a summary of work completed in Stages 1 and 2 to the Board on December 16; view the report and presentation slides. The Board directed the project team to advance the project to Stage 3 (Bylaw Drafting).
Stage 2 presentation to Thornhill Advisory Planning Commission
WSP and Development Services staff presented an update to the Thornhill Advisory Planning Commission (APC) on October 11. View the presentation slides.
Community survey
Early input from the community was collected through a community survey (online and hard copy) from June 22 to July 22.
Public open houses
The Regional District held public open houses on June 22 (12-4 pm) and June 23 (4-8 pm) at the Thornhill Community Centre to collect early input from the community. View the display boards.
Intro presentation to Thornhill Advisory Planning Commission
WSP and Development Services staff presented an introduction to the Thornhill Advisory Planning Commission (APC) on May 17. View the presentation slides.
Project initiation
The Zoning Bylaw Update project commenced March 4 with a project kick-off meeting between staff and the consultant.
Contract award
Consulting firm WSP Canada Inc. (WSP) was awarded the Zoning Bylaw Update contract by the Regional District Board on February 18 through resolution R035-2022. View the February 18, 2022 Board report.
